July 10, 2013 – Some of the SOXBloggers and the GBG GenSan members were invited to have a coffee appreciation at Starbucks Coffee, SM GenSan. Of course, I met new faces, the baristas of the coffee shop and the coffee master, Ms. Mai. 😀
Let’s take look first of the Starbucks here in GenSan before I’ll start the topic 😛
The said topic was all about:
Responsibility Grown and Ethically Traded Coffee
First of all, Ms. Mai, tackled how Starbucks or rather where their coffee came from, or how their coffee made from. Starbucks Coffee opened in the Philippines since 1997 and the rest is history..:P
Ms. Mai, the hostess, indicated on how to appreciate and to drink coffee.. SO here’s the following:
- Smell
- Slurp
- Locate
- Describe
The goal of fairtrade is to empower small scale farmers organized in cooperatives to invest in their farms and communities, protect the environment and develop business skills necessary to compete in the global economy.
Also, Starbucks participates in every environmental activity, like 60 Earth Hour. 🙂
Coffee Presses
If you wish or if you want to make a coffee in your home. Use the presser which you can buy in Starbucks for:
Coffee Press 8 cup Black – Php 995
It is also available in 4 cups for Php 795
The best partner if you drink the Italian Roast (DARK) is that picture above. You’ll forgot the bitterness of the dark coffee. Cuz of its sweetness. 🙂
Grounds For Your Garden. For those who do not know, this is a program that Starbucks launched in 1995 which offers customers the opportunity to take used coffee grounds for use in their garden. This is a free of charge to the customer. Just put it in their basket! 😀
That’s all for now! HAHAHA SORRY for my photos a little bit shaky! And hey, credits to the pictures too! 😀
till nxt time!
