GDayX Mindanao

November 16,2013 – The most awaited event GDAYx Mindanao held last Saturday at SM Trade Hall 2 from all parts of Mindanao. We are assigned in the Registration area to facilitate the participants in the said event.

Avel Manansala, GBG Gensan Manager officially opened the program as he also welcomed the participants on that day. The introduction of the event’s keynote speakers were as follows:

• Ryan Morales ( Head of Marketing Google Philippines)
• Aileen Apolo De Jesus ( Outreach 10X)
• Erica Hanson ( Women on the Web)
• Bernie Arellano (Crisis Mapping)

After that.. the four speakers were gamely answered questions from the audiences during the ASK GOOGLE session.

After lunch, the breakout sessions proceeded. The participants were led to their respected assigned rooms for the following tracks which they signed up for.

For the BUSINESS  and ENTREPRENEURS TRACK:

• Map you Business: Map Maker & PLaces – Dr. Remo Aguilar (Advocate, Google Map Maker)
• Collaboration for every Business with Google Apps – Herald Uy (Google Evangelist)
• Going Mobile – Ann Olvido (Google Developers Group – Bacolod)

For STUDENTS TRACK:

• The GSA Program – Nee Khern Chee (Outreach, Communities Google SouthEast Asia)
• Intro to Google Apps- Franz Sarmiento (Google Student Ambassador, De La Salle Bacolod)
• Why G Plus? – Alexis Chua (Co-Manager, Google Business Group GenSan)
• Google Drive for Students – Dulce Rose Lada (Manager, GBG Davao)

For EDUCATORS TRACK:

• Google Apps for Eduation – Aileen Apolo (Head, Google SouthEast Asia)
• Google Search and Plus for Education – Vincent Tabor (Manager GBG Baguio/Country Champion, GBG Philippines)
• Paperless Classroom via Google Drive – Ariel Lalisan (Co-Manager, GBG GenSan)
• The GSA/GEG Programs – Nee Khern Chee (Outreach, Communities SEA) & Aileen Apolo
