UPDATE 11/24/2017: Finally! received an email saying my EON EMV Card is ready for Pick up, saying “XXXXXXX, your all-new EON card is ready for pick up. You can now pick up your all-new EON card! Don’t forget to bring the original ID you used when you updated your info online and present it to our Sales and Service Officer in the branch to claim your card.”
UPDATE 11/23/2017: Received an text update from Unionbank that my card is finally shipped, saying “Yahoo! Your new EON card is on its way to your branch. Sit tight and you’ll hear from us again once it’s ready for pick up. Ref No CBRXXXXXXXXXXX.”
UPDATE 11/21/2017: After almost 20 days of waiting. Finally! I just received a text message from Unionbank saying “Hey there! We’re now prepping your new EON card for delivery to the branch. We’ll text you again once it’s ready for pick up! Ref No CBRXXXXXXXXXXX.” Maybe UnionBank has lots of application to process that’s why it takes almost 3 weeks to process your application. But if you have concern don’t hesitate to contact UnionBank at 1-8000-1888-2277
Hi Guys! Today, I just received a letter from UnionBank regarding the all-new EON card they’re offering – the EMV smart chip. It’s a replacement to the existing Magstripe Debit card which is no longer or cannot be use beyond December 1, 2017. The letter has lot’s of information regarding the card and how to upgrade yours.

It’s very easy and simple, for EON card holder just visit www.eonbankph.com/levelup. Fill up and update your EON information in it. You also need to upload your latest photo and a valid government ID. Don’t forget to fill up the pick up point as well, this is where you’ll claim your new EMV Smart Chip card.
Once done filling up, you’ll be notified in 5 to 7 days for the update of your application. You’ll also received a follow up text and email.

November 4, 2017 at 11:32 pmI requested my EON OCTOBER 12, and never had any updates from the support or whoever is responsible to send updates until I made a follow up a week after. I received their response a day after, they told me they were still checking. And it took another 24 hours to wait and they said there was an issue with the identification card I uploaded. I was so frustrated with the process because I never knew there was a problem because I was not updated, good thing I didn’t go to the branch on the expected date of release because I might have wasted my time on the line. And then I never heard anything from them again and so I made another follow up. It took until November 2 to resolve it and finally got a notification that it’s ready for pick up. Just sharing my experience. And also, I didn’t receive the email INVITES to UPGRADE on my INBOX, good thing I searched it on my PROMO TAB, I think this is a very important UPDATE from a BANK so why would it be tagged under the PROMOTION TAB on gmail? It should be on the PRIMARY INBOX, right? Well, some clients might have thesame experience or worst, until now still waiting for their EMAIL INVITATION without knowing it’s already on their promotion tab.

November 21, 2017 at 4:03 amam having same problems, may i know how you made a follow up? i called their toll free number since i’m from davao but i got tired of waiting ( my call was on hold for almost an hour ) . when i filled up my details online they said that i will receive an update on or before nov 6 but it’s been almost december ! appreciate your feedback on this, thanks a lot!

Also, the old EON account that I have doesn’t have minimum balance, will it work themsame way?
Will it have a cash limit now? Like the onw that I saw , LITE EON, PLUS EON ect…?

But until now Union bank tells me to call up their hotline number which is very difficult to connect to customer service representative. Please help.
